No Dogs here at the centre.
With a heavy heart we have to post this comment concerning NO DOGS here at the centre.
Dogs at Bubwith Leisure and Sports Centre DO NOT go together 
We run football events on our playing field with North Duffield Little Dragons weekly, joggers and walkers alike use our running track daily. We have a NO DOGS sign at the main entrance of the car park AND at the footpath at the top of the playing field, by the footbridge towards the Bubwith Rail Trail.
Prioritising Children: Sports fields are vital community spaces, and rules are put in place to protect children and athletes who use them.
Toxocariasis: Dog poo can contain roundworm eggs, leading to toxocariasis, an infection that can cause blindness, especially in children who play in contaminated soil or sand.
Bacteria & Parasites: Dog waste can spread E. coli, hepatitis, and other bacteria, posing risks to anyone using the field.
We DO NOT provide poo bags, why should we when we don’t want dogs within this community facility?
Sorry to state again, but NO DOGS, even on a lead.
Simply NO DOGS!!!
2025 Indian Dinner Dance with Surj and Gusharan in November
INDIAN DINNER DANCE
Saturday 22nd November saw the very first Indian Dinner Dance held at Bubwith Leisure & Sports Centre and it was absolutely fabulous!
The people of Bubwith and beyond really embraced the whole experience by dressing up and dancing the night away to a mix of Bhangra & Dance classics alongside the beat of the Dhol (drum) – Abba’s Mamma Mia accompanied by Indian Dhol was something to hear and dance to!
Delicious food, amazing atmosphere and a real sense of community unity and support. Thankyou to everyone who helped to make this community evening one of the best in 2025.
