A Community Hub – Run by Volunteers.
Thanks to all those who helped us by completing the survey. Over a hundred replies is very encouraging and most of the suggestions and comments are helpful and guide us for the future.
It is worth noting that over the summer we have achieved:
Refurbishment of the Ladies and Gents toilets, a complete makeover.
Refurbishment of the sports Changing Rooms, with new showers and toilets, and redecorated.
Redecoration of the upstairs room, now housing The Treehouse Nursery, and installation of air conditioning.
Redecoration and reflooring of the circulation areas downstairs.
Refreshing with tougher paint the walls in the hall, where they had become marked.
Installed full Covid-19 precautions, signage, twelve automatic hand sanitisers, and of course new hand washing facilities. That ticks a few of the boxes!

Other improvements requested in the survey by yourselves included:
More opening hours for the bar, better food and drink:- note we now have a full premises licence.
Family and community events:- we hope to restart these as soon as Covid allows.
Fitness classes:- we have Freestyle dance, Karate, and new Pilates, Bootcamp and Zumba.
Cinema:- watch this space! Licences and permissions in place. Bookings invited shortly.
Craft and artistic clubs, computers, counselling, physiotherapy, badminton. If you wish to run any of these or know someone who does, please get in touch.
We are now considering the way forward, with plans for outdoor activities in these troubled times.
